Loch Morlich

Loch Morlich is a fresh water loch with sandy beaches situated underneath the Cairngorms mountains. The Loch is home to a water sports centre and a yacht club.

The Kingussie golf club is a great 18 Hole Golf Course located in the surrounding mountains of the Cairngorms national park. Kingussie golf club hosts many open competitions throughout the golfing season.

Walks In Kingussie

Kingussie is a popular area in the Cairngorms national park with people passing by and staying every day. Kingussie is one of the best places in the UK for adventurous activities. Kingussie Hiking Trails

1. Loch Morlich

Distance -      5.8 km

Time -                1.5  h

Elevation -      98 m

Difficulty -       Easy

This route does a full loop of Loch Morlich, Along the way you will be treated to views of the loch and its beaches as well as the Cairngorm mountains looming all around. The trail follows a well maintained gravel path. There are many things to stop and do along this path to make a day of walking Find this route here

2. Ben Macdui

Distance -      16.1 km

Time -                7 h

Elevation -      827 m

Difficulty -       Hard

This long hike to Britans second highest mountain the route includes rocky ascents and sometimes unclear paths. The route is not too strenuous but can be difficult to navigate especially on the summit plateau if weather is bad. Find this route here

3. Creag Bheag

Distance -      5.5 km

Time -                2 h

Elevation -      292 m

Difficulty -       Easy

This trail starts in Kingussie. The path ascends across to the summit of Creag Beag where you will be greeted with astonishing views, the route then passes through a majestic pine wood forest bustling with wildlife before making your way back to Kingussie. Find this route here
