Luss Pier
Luss pier is a great viewpoint into the vast Loch Lomond, there is also a water bus which operates at the pier which can take you around the Loch to other locations around the national park.

Ben Lomond is the most southern munro in Scotland located on the eastern shores of Loch Lomond opposite Luss. Ben Lomond is 974m in height.​


Loch Lomond
Loch Lomond is the national parks most popular and largest Loch with a length of 36km and a width of 8km.The Loch runs through the centre of the Loch Lomond national park and is the focal point of the area.

Ben Dubh is a small mountain located just above Luss. Beinn Dubh is 642m in height and provides excellent views of Loch Lomond from the summit.

Luss Hiking Trails
1. Beinn Dubh
Distance - 7.6 km
Time - 3.5 h
Elevation - 625 m
Difficulty - Easy
This trail to the summit of Beinn Dubh starts in Luss car park, you will immediately have to cross the main road from over the bridge once at the base of Beinn Dubh it is a simple steady ascent to the summit marked by a clear path. The views on the top are tremendous. Find this route here
2. Luss To Balloch
Distance - 14.2 km
Time - 3 h
Elevation - 139 m
Difficulty - Easy
This route starts in Luss and ends in Balloch buses connect these two locations for transport after the route is needed the route can also be done in reverse. The long low level trail will follow along the beautiful shores of Loch Lomond taking in the surrounding mountains to the west. Find this route here
3. Ben Lomond
Distance - 12.4 km
Time - 5.5 h
Elevation - 941 m
Difficulty - Hard
The start of the trail to the top of the most southern Munro Ben Lomond starts at Rowardennan. The route to the summit is fairly steady and the path is well maintained. The path begins in a beautiful scenic woodland then gets more exposed to the elements as you ascend. You will reach the south peak then there is a small ridge to the summit. Find this route here
